Depression can touch every part of your life—your mind, your body, your energy, and your relationships. You might feel heavy getting out of bed, lose interest in things you once enjoyed, or struggle to focus at work or at home. Even everyday tasks—making meals, paying bills, answering texts—can feel exhausting or impossible. You may notice irritability, bursts of anger, or difficulty connecting with sadness that may lie beneath. Physical symptoms like changes in sleep, appetite, or aches are common, and many people feel disconnected from themselves and the people around them.
It’s natural for sadness to arise when life has been hard—there are often very real, understandable reasons for it. At the same time, sometimes deep sadness shows up even when things “should” be fine, or when others—or even we ourselves—think we have no reason to feel this way. This doesn't mean something is wrong with you. This means you're human.
Together, we will identify what is most important to you and let these be your guide--not your difficult thoughts and feelings. Although it may feel impossible, we will work together to take meaningful steps that grow into lasting, positive change.
